Women's Soccer Announces 2015 Schedule

Leathernecks to play nine contests in front of a home crowd

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois head women's soccer coach Dr. Ted Flogaites has announced his team's upcoming schedule. The 2015 campaign features 17 regular season contests and two exhibitions, including nine home matches.
 
The Leathernecks kick off the season at home with an exhibition match against the Drake Bulldogs on August 9, set to begin at 1 p.m. Western will play in one more exhibition match on the road against Illinois State on August 11 before opening the 2015 regular season with a match at Milwaukee on August 21.
 
The regular season home opener will take place on August 28 against in-state rival Eastern Illinois. The Leathernecks will play two more matches at home against Kansas City (August 30) and Western Michigan (September 6).
 
The following week, Western will kick off its longest road swing of the season, beginning with a matchup against Northern Iowa on September 8, followed by contests against Austin Peay (September 11), SIU-Edwardsville (September 13), and Missouri State (September 20).
 
Summit League play begins with a home match against Fort Wayne on October 2 then a non-conference game versus Indiana State on October 4. Summit League play resumes with two road contests against Oral Roberts (October 11) and Omaha (October 16).
 
On October 18, the Fighting Leathernecks will welcome the IUPUI Jaguars to Macomb before hitting the road for final two away match-ups against Denver (October 23) and South Dakota (October 25).
 
Western will wrap up the 2015 regular season with home matches against South Dakota State on October 30 and North Dakota State on November 1.
 
The 2015 Summit League Championships will be hosted by South Dakota State on November 5-7 in Brookings, S.D.
