Leatherneck Madness Featuring WIU Basketball Scheduled for Oct. 22

The event is slated to begin at 7 p.m. inside Western Hall

MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois athletics department is scheduled to host Leatherneck Madness on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. inside Western Hall on LeRoy A. Ufkes Court. Similar to last year, fans are welcome to attend for free and meet the 2015-16 men's and women's basketball teams.

The event will have FREE food and several prizes including a iPad, which was donated by the uTech Computer Store. Students will have a chance to win the iPad by making a half court shot, and will also have chances to win a $100 HyVee gift card and a $50 Buffalo Wild Wings gift card. All WIU students in attendance will be eligible for all prizes.

Leatherneck Madness kicks off with the Western Illinois cheerleaders and Rocky the mascot entertaining the crowd and team introductions.

Both head men's basketball coach Billy Wright and head women's basketball coach JD Gravina will then address the crowd prior to the women's team scrimmaging followed by the men's scrimmage. Other items on the schedule include: shooting contests, trivia challenges and many more activities.

Fans will not want to miss out on the free food, free prizes and a chance to meet your 2015-16 basketball teams!
