Western Freshmen Invited to Run Out with Football Team at Season Opener

Join the Leathernecks at Hanson Field on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois University Athletics would like to invite all incoming freshmen to lead the Leatherneck football team onto Hanson Field at the season opener on Thursday, Aug. 28 against Valparaiso at 6 p.m.

All WIU freshmen are eligible to join this Western Illinois tradition by meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the north end zone under the scoreboard. They will then lead the football team out onto the field.

Leatherneck t-shirts will be available for $3. All students are reminded that a valid Western I.D. is needed to receive free admission into the game.
